BED AND BREAKFAST
Today as I was standing at the sink I couldn't help but notice two very busy and noisy wrens at the bird feeder. I also noticed that all of the other birds were eating seed that had fallen to the ground. The wrens continued to voice their displeasure, so I figured the feeder was empty. Going out side, this is what I found!
The first thing I noticed were all of the twigs in the feeder!
When I opened the feeder, this is what I found! No wonder the wrens were making such a racket--they had built their nest inside the feeder. How creative of them--A BIRD BED AND BREAKFAST!!
Fresh Blackberries!
It's berry picking time. I have been watching my blackberry bush since the beginning of spring, when it was loaded with blossoms! A sure sign of a bumper crop!! I personally don't like blackberries, but everyone I work with does--so I pick them and take them to work! This is just the first harvest and from the looks of things, I'll be picking almost daily!!
